Look familiar??? Whilst this isn't quite stitching it is related in a lateral kind of way. This I started about... umm - yep so long ago I can't even remember... I traced her from the cross stitch design and obviously started to paint her - somewhere in the scheme of things to happen - it hasn't!!!! Since I have been stitching her my thoughts have wandered back to the painting which is on the lid of a heart shaped box - after a bit of a hunt I found her way up in a cupboard... Was my original idea to have both the stitched version and the box??? I don't think that was the intention - it was more that I liked the image - the angel with the peace dove. Angels, peace doves and hearts would be up there as far as favorite motifs. My reasons are varied to why - perhaps I am just a unashamedly romantic idealist at heart...
I haven't picked up a paint brush in ages but looking through a book on decorative painting at work has whetted my appetite to perhaps giving it another go...

That is lovely, Sharon. It would be worth your while to have another go at painting; I believe once people develop a talent for something, they never really lose it (like riding a bike, supposedly). I occasionally get the urge to paint stuff - glass, pictures, coloring books (??), but you know my den. There's too much else there to start something new now.
